Protecting People Through Learning and Development

Perth and Kinross Child Protection Committee (CPC) in compliance with the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland 2014 and the National Framework for Child Protection Learning and Development in Scotland 2012 has developed a CPC Inter-Agency Child Protection Learning and Development Framework for all staff working within Perth and Kinross Education and Children's Services and for all colleagues working within the public, private and third sectors across Perth and Kinross.

Child Protection Learning and Development Opportunities aimed at the general workforce; the specific workforce and the intensive contact workforce are provided free of charge by the CPC.

OnLine Learning and Development Opportunities

Perth and Kinross CPC, working in partnership with the Perth and Kinross Adult Protection Committee and the Perth and Kinross Getting it Right for Every Child Strategic Group is also committed to protecting all vulnerable people and to keeping them safe.  Staff learning and development opportunities provide us with such an opportunity to do so by developing a confident and competent staff.

The following three, introductory, OnLine Learning and Development Modules are recommended for all staff working across Perth and Kinross:

 

OnLine Child Protection Training Module This module is designed to provide you with a basic awareness and understanding of child protection and how to keep children and young people safe from harm and abuse.

 

OnLine Adult Support and Protection Module This module is designed to provide you with a basic awareness and understanding of adult support and protection and how to promote adult safety, health and wellbeing.
