Supporting children with ASN in Early Years settings - Assessment and Planning [Inclusion]
Target Audience: This course is aimed at practitioners who are taking a lead role in the overview of additional support needs within a setting.
The course aims to provide participants with an understanding of identification, assessment and planning for children with Additional Support Needs within ELC settings.
Participants will attend 3 sessions which will be a mix of online and face to face learning.

Aims and Outcomes: Session 1 – Understanding our responsibilities in relation to ASN’s within ELC settings. Session 2 – Understanding the Assessment of Additional Support Needs. Session 3 – Planning for children with Additional Support Needs within ELC settings. Learning Outcomes: Participants will understand the legal requirements in relation to Additional Support Needs. Participants will understand the assessment process and their role within this. Participants will understand how to plan to meet the needs of children identified as having additional support needs within a staged intervention approach.
